Should I choose glycol or air cooling for my system?
The Brewers Association recommends glycol for any run over 25 feet or through warm spaces — air cooling loses effectiveness quickly over distance. For short, cooler-adjacent runs, air cooling is simpler and less expensive.
How often does glycol concentrate need to be changed?
Most commercial systems check glycol concentration annually and top off or replace as needed — a properly sealed system loses very little, but leaks or evaporation over time can weaken freeze protection.
