Replacement Cold Plates, Fittings & Components for Cold Plate Jockey Boxes
Cold plate jockey boxes chill beer by running it through aluminum cooling channels embedded in a plate that sits directly in ice. They're compact, lightweight, and faster to set up than coil coolers — making them a popular choice for events, catering, and mobile bar operations where speed and portability matter.
What We Carry
- Replacement cold plates — aluminum cold plates in single and multi-line configurations; sized to fit standard coolers
- Fittings & connectors — barbed and threaded fittings for connecting beer lines to cold plate inlets and outlets
- Shanks & hardware — for mounting faucets through the cooler wall on the serving side
- Gaskets & seals — replacement seals for maintaining leak-free connections at the plate fittings
Cold Plate vs. Coil Cooler — Which Is Right?
- Cold plate: faster setup, more compact, better for lower pour volumes and shorter events; beer contacts aluminum channels
- Coil cooler: better cooling capacity for high-volume pours; longer contact time with ice bath; preferred for warm conditions or fast pour rates
- For most single-tap event setups under moderate volume, a cold plate performs well and is easier to transport
Maintenance
- Flush cold plates with clean water after every use — beer left in aluminum channels causes rapid buildup and off-flavors
- Clean with BLC or food-safe line cleaner; rinse thoroughly before storage
- Inspect fittings for corrosion; aluminum cold plates are durable but sensitive to caustic cleaners — use only approved solutions
