Shank FAQ
How do I know what shank length I need?
Measure the thickness of what you're mounting through — bar top, kegerator door, or tower base — and match the shank length to that thickness plus a little clearance for the coupling nut. Too short and the faucet won't seat properly; too long and excess shank protrudes awkwardly on the back side.
Does shank bore size matter for pour quality?
Yes — the shank bore should match your beer line ID (typically 3/16" or 1/4") to avoid a restriction or expansion point that disrupts flow and causes foaming. Mismatched bore size is a common, overlooked cause of inconsistent pours even when everything else in the system is correct.
