Replacement Coils, Fittings & Hardware for Jockey Box Coil Coolers
A jockey box coil cooler chills beer by running it through a stainless steel coil submerged in ice water inside a cooler. When the coil wears out, gets kinked, or needs to be upgraded for a higher tap count, these are the parts you need to rebuild or expand your setup without replacing the whole box.
What We Carry
- Stainless steel coils — food-grade 304 stainless; available in multiple lengths to match your cooling demand and cooler size
- Coil fittings & connectors — barbed and threaded fittings for connecting coils to beer lines and shanks
- Mounting hardware — brackets and hardware for securing coils inside the cooler
- Replacement shanks & faucets — for rebuilding the tap side of your jockey box
Coil Length & Cooling Performance
- 50 ft coil — standard for single-tap jockey boxes; adequate for moderate pour rates with properly iced water bath
- 120 ft coil — for high-volume single-tap or multi-tap setups; more contact time = colder beer at faster flow rates
- Longer coils are always better for warm ambient conditions or high-volume events
Jockey Box Maintenance Tips
- Clean coils after every use with BLC or equivalent line cleaner — beer residue left in stainless coils causes off-flavors fast
- Flush with clean water before and after each event
- Inspect fittings for corrosion or mineral buildup; replace annually or as needed
Coil Parts FAQ
50 ft or 120 ft coil — which do I need?
50 ft handles moderate single-tap pour rates fine with a well-iced bath. Move up to 120 ft for high-volume events, multi-tap setups, or warm ambient conditions — the extra length means more contact time with the ice, which keeps beer colder at faster pour speeds.
Why does my jockey box beer taste off after a few uses?
Almost always residue left in the stainless coil from a previous use — beer left sitting in the coil between events builds up flavor-affecting residue fast. Clean with BLC or an equivalent line cleaner after every use, not just occasionally.
