Homebrew Coupler FAQ
Ball lock or pin lock — how do I know which one I have?
Ball lock posts (Pepsi-style) are the more common Cornelius keg format in homebrewing and use a quick-connect fitting that locks with an internal ball bearing. Pin lock (Coca-Cola-style) posts use two pins instead. Check your keg's post style directly — the two are not interchangeable.
Why is my Corny keg connection leaking?
Almost always a worn or missing O-ring at the post connection — they're inexpensive and wear out from repeated connect/disconnect cycles. Replace the O-ring before assuming the disconnect itself has failed.
