What's the difference between buying by the foot and buying a pre-assembled python bundle?
A python bundle is a pre-built configuration — a set number of beer lines and glycol lines already wrapped together in one insulated jacket, priced and cut by the foot to your run length. Buying individual tubing by the foot means routing and insulating each line yourself, which only makes sense for a non-standard or single-line run.
Do I need barrier tubing for every application, or is vinyl sometimes fine?
Barrier tubing is required for long draw trunk bundles per Brewers Association guidelines, since standard vinyl lets CO2 and oxygen permeate through on longer runs. Vinyl is fine for short direct-draw applications under a kegerator where BA long-draw standards don't apply.
