Wall Brackets & Routing FAQ
Why use a Y-splitter instead of a manifold to split a beer line?
A Y-splitter is a simple two-way split for basic routing, while a manifold typically offers more outlets and sometimes individual shutoffs for each line. For a straightforward two-way split, a Y is the simpler, less expensive option.
Why not just bend the beer line instead of using an elbow fitting?
A sharp bend in beer line kinks the tubing, restricting flow and creating a spot where sediment and residue collect. An elbow fitting changes direction cleanly without narrowing the line, which keeps flow and cleaning consistent.
