When would I use a splicer instead of just running a new line?
A splicer makes sense for a quick repair on an existing run — joining two sections after a damaged spot is cut out, or extending a line slightly for a layout change — without pulling and replacing the whole line.
Do splicers work on barrier tubing as well as vinyl?
Yes — standard barbed splicers work on both vinyl and barrier tubing as long as the inside diameter matches. Just make sure the splice is properly clamped on both sides to hold under system pressure.
