How do I know if my keg uses a D system coupler?
If it's a domestic US beer or most major imports (Budweiser, Coors, Miller, Corona, and hundreds of others), it's almost certainly D system. It's the default assumption for North American draft unless you know the beer is specifically European or a specialty format.
Stainless steel or chrome-plated coupler — which lasts longer?
Stainless steel resists corrosion and pitting better under daily commercial use and repeated cleaning cycles. Chrome-plated costs less up front but can show wear sooner — worth the upgrade to stainless if the coupler is going into heavy daily rotation.
