Primary Nitrogen (N2) Regulators for Draft Beer
Primary N2 regulators connect directly to your nitrogen cylinder and reduce high tank pressure to a precise working pressure. Essential for stout dispensing, long draw systems, and mixed gas (beer gas) setups in commercial bars and breweries.
- Dual-Gauge Models – Display both tank pressure and outlet pressure for accurate monitoring
- CGA-580 Inlet Fitting – Standard connection for all nitrogen cylinders
- Single & Dual-Stage Options – For consistent pressure delivery across varying tank levels
- Compatible with Beer Gas Blenders – Pair with CO2/N2 blenders for mixed gas long draw systems
N2 Regulator FAQ
Can I use a CO2 regulator on a nitrogen tank?
No — nitrogen cylinders use a different valve fitting (CGA-580) than CO2 (CGA-320), and nitrogen tanks run at much higher pressure. A CO2 regulator isn't rated or fitted for nitrogen service.
Single-stage or dual-stage regulator — which do I need?
Dual-stage regulators hold more consistent outlet pressure as the tank empties, which matters for pour consistency over the life of the cylinder. Single-stage costs less but can drift slightly as tank pressure drops — acceptable for lower-volume or less pressure-sensitive setups.
